El Calafate, the name of the town is derived from a little bush with yellow flowers and dark blue berries that is very common in Patagonia. The berry, once eaten, guaranteed your return to Patagonia. We have had Pisco with Calafate and plenty of Austral beer with Califate so we will be back for sure.
We decided to stop a couple of nights in this beautiful town and walk the streets enjoying mingling with the local and many tourists that stop there.
Loved the mountain town feel, the many specialty shops and the coffe place we found at the end of the day with amazing local chocolates.
