The way from Santiago to Valparaiso was on highway. Lots of traffic as it was a Saturday and both Valparaiso and Viña Del Mar are favorite weekend spots. Quite a lot of vineyards on the way.
Loved the colors and the large inclines in Valparaiso which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here we also visited La Sebastiana and its artistic surroundings. At the end of the day rode by the beaches of Viña Del Mar. It was a day where we probably saw the most diverse scenery. We were even given a front row seat in a forest fire where they needed helicopters to contain the flames.
